Job Duties:
Summary
Member of the test team supporting product development characterization and validation efforts. Responsibilities include applying electronic theory, electrical testing procedures and related knowledge to test, troubleshoot, repair and modify electronic equipment and systems.
Major Duties:
1.Based on an understanding of product and system requirements and functionality participate in the development of test plans and test cases
2.Troubleshoot and repair developmental hardware to the component level
3.Perform a variety of RF parameter measurements
4.Write test reports and other technical documents
5.Repair, update, and document various radio and radio system test beds
6.Evaluate suitability of components, cables, and subsystems for use in test beds
7.Maintain configuration control of custom hardware and units under test
8.Operate and maintain the test lab, including work flow scheduling
9.Communicate work results and status
Job Skills:
Requirements
?Minimum of an AA degree in Electronics Technology, related field or Military training
?8+ years experience with communication systems and RF product testing, troubleshooting, or repair
?Strong electronic and mechanical construction skills
?Lead free hand soldering of fine pitch components (under magnification)
?Familiarity in the use of common RF and electronics test equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and power meters
?Strong problem solving and analytical skills
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills plus well-developed office software skills
?Organized and detailed self starter, able to work independently with little supervision
?Adapts readily to changes in scope and purpose Desirable
?Experience with development or testing of wireless systems and products
?Experience in using a scripting language, Visual Basic, LabView or other programming language
?Working knowledge of common wireless protocols, network topologies, and IT infrastructure
?Working knowledge of telecom networks
