Job Duties:
Summary
Process Engineer or equivalent with extensive process mapping experience to provide consulting to re-engineer and strengthen business processes in the Product Development organization. Main focus is on identifying opportunities for process creation and process improvement working within and across functional teams. Background in electronics engineering and manufacturing and working with ISO specifications.
1. Work with Product Development (PD) teams to determine process improvement opportunities within teams and across teams.
2. Perform process analysis and impact assessment of process gaps to ensure real value in process change.
3. Researching “best Practices” of comparable organizations and analyzing the feasibility of installing where needed
4. Working with PD teams, develop and document new and improved process workflows.
5. Work with functional managers to plan and manage the implementation of process changes.
6. Determine metrics for evaluating the benefits of process improvements and implement a plan for data collection and assessment.
7. Provide leadership in implanting process thinking/problem solving within functional teams
Job Skills:
Essential:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering).
· 5+ years experience in process mapping and/analysis with at least 2 years in an ISO 9000 electronics/manufacturing environment.
· Process mapping, identifying / analyzing problems/issues and developing root cause analysis, metrics gathering and analysis
· Process change management experience
· Strong facilitation and group leadership skills
· Organizational development experience
· Aptitude to learn new technologies & processes quickly and desire to excel.
· Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities.
· Ability to work well with engineers and technical people.
· Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to effectively present information to top management.
· Ability to self-manage and exhibit grace under pressure.
Desirable:
· Strong knowledge and understanding of electronic product and software development life cycle.
