Job Duties:
Summary
Responsible for electrical circuit and board design, test and documentation tasks associated with the development of wireless transceiver product.
Major Duties:
1. Develop and/or analyze circuits working from wireless product architecture direction and product specifications.
2. Select and evaluate suitable components for wireless product building block applications.
3. Effectively develop printed circuit board assemblies for circuit test and product implementation.
4. Test circuits and wireless systems against technical, environmental and regulatory requirements.
5. Troubleshoots circuits and modify for specified performance
6. Effectively document components and circuit board assemblies
7. Support boards and products in the product verification and manufacturing phases.
8. Performs failure and root cause analysis
9. Develops test plans and reports in support of product validation testing.
Job Skills:
Essential:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
· Experience in printed circuit design for manufacture
· Proven skills with common test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators
· Hands-on PC board build, test, and modification skills
· Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
· Time management and organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities
· Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to self-manage and exhibit grace under pressure
Desirable:
· Hardware design experience in the 30MHz to 1GHz radio frequency range
· Experience in the development of wireless products for manufacture
· Experience with common RF design elements such as impedance matching networks, oscillators, tuned circuits and RF power amplifiers
· Experience using microcontroller emulators and debuggers
· PADS schematic capture and layout
· RF PCB layout experience
· Experience in an ISO 9000 environment
